Why We Created The ThaiVedic Yoga Modules

 

To empower inspiring yoga teachers who can guide the healing of themselves and others. Teachers who connect and unite all styles of Yoga, showing their benefits, weaknesses, and time and place for the individual.

 

To create a wave of personal and planetary transformation that balances all aspects of our body, mind and soul. Sharing a way of being and living that enhances rejuvenation and longevity, promoting energised empowerment for righteous action in the world.

ThaiVedic Yoga Level I - Bronze Medallion

 

Content:

  • Introduction to the Ayurvedic Five Element System and how to use the system for balancing life, food and Yoga Therapy.

  • How to define the strengths and weakness of each form of Yoga by its elemental dominance.

  • Diagnose an individual’s state of dosha (disease tendency), and which techniques are best to balance each dosha.

  • Meditations, breath practices, and asana to balance the three Ayurvedic disease tendencies.

  • Yoga therapy for the feet, spine, hips, and legs.

  • Emphasis in this module is on reawakening our intuition and ability to be guided by spirit. We focus on treating Vata, the source of all disease, through meditation, positive psychology, breath practices, and grounding asana.

 

Upon completion of this course all students will be able to:

  • Diagnose a person individually using Ayurvedic principles.

  • Know which yoga techniques are more suited to themselves and/or students.

  • Treat psychological imbalances and inspire spiritual fulfilment through individualised meditations, pranayamas, and ThaiVedic life coaching.

  • Use asana and movement therapies to cure muscular and skeletal imbalances in the spine, hips and legs.

  • Receive a Bronze Medallion Qualification from ThaiVedic Yoga and certification to teach the ThaiVedic “Awakening Meditation”.

ThaiVedic Yoga Level II - Silver Medallion

 

Prerequisites: Level I

Content:

  • Expanded yoga therapy techniques that are once again categorised into their elemental dominance for ease of individualised healing.

  • A deeper dive into understanding the systems and psychological types used in ThaiVedic Yoga Therapy.

  • Understanding the tri-gunas known as tamas (stagnation and delusion), rajas (action and desire), and saatva (peace and harmony). Including diets and yoga practices to promote saatva.

  • Expanded ways to treat the three Ayurvedic disease tendencies, including the ThaiVedic aromatherapy blends, and prayer pulses.

  • Yoga Therapy for the digestive system, neck and shoulders.

  • Emphasis in this module is scientific systems like anatomy, Ayurveda, and the nine emotions, so we can confirm our intuitions. We focus on treating Pitta, the metabolic disease influence, through meditation, purposeful life psychology, and detoxifying asana.

 

Upon completion of this course all students will be able to:

  • Use the Yoga of the nine emotions to inspire happiness, love and peace by rewriting neurological pathways.

  • Treat digestive imbalances and correct a person’s metabolism using Yoga Therapy and natural means.

  • Use asana and movement therapies to cure muscular and skeletal imbalances in the neck and shoulders.

  • Receive a Silver Medallion Qualification from ThaiVedic Yoga and certification to teach the ThaiVedic Vata and Pitta Asana Sequences.

ThaiVedic Yoga Level III - Gold Medallion

 

Prerequisites: Level I and II

 

Content:

  • The structural body and lymphatic system; working with bones, lymph pathways and the fascia system.

  • Therapy for specific problems of the lungs, chest and sinus cavities.

  • The art and play of connected yoga. Adjustments and partner opportunities.

  • Dispersing and detoxifying yoga techniques to remove blockage and excess in the tissues or energy channels.

  • Strength and conditioning in relation to Yoga Therapy. How to create strong connective tissue and how we need to individualise this for each of the three disease tendencies.

 

Upon completion of this course all students will be able to:

  • Treat fluid and congestion imbalances using Yoga Therapy and natural means.

  • Use asana and movement therapies to cure muscular and skeletal imbalances in the chest.

  • Receive a Gold Medallion Qualification from ThaiVedic Yoga and certification to teach the ThaiVedic Kapha Asana Sequence.

  • Understand adjustments and when and where you may want to use them.
